Spine Rehabilitation: Customized Patient Programs
Nearly every adult in the United States experiences back or neck pain some time
in their life. The vast majority of cases are self-limiting conditions, however there is a high recurrence rate which frequently leads to significant costs and personal disability.
A strategy of early intervention including pain reduction, restoring joint mobility, strengthening exercises, and prevention education, expedites prompt return to normal activity and prevents reoccurrence.

 |
A Comprehensive Approach
Our program is designed to effectively and efficiently return the individual experiencing back pain or injury to a productive and active lifestyle. Our evaluation considers all aspects of the individual’s injury including the normal healing stages of recovery, the impairments and their affect upon a patient’s ability to return to function
safely and productively, and the resources available at their work site or home, if needed, to facilitate return to work or activity.
Our treatment consists of a sports medicine versus a palliative approach, utilizing evidenced-based protocols of care with a strong emphasis on the patient’s active participation and return to function while providing timely communication to physicians, case managers, and employers.

 |
Our Mission: Restore Function
As with sports injuries, back pain
treatment strategies emphasizing rest and
medication alone without rehabilitation can increase recovery time and contribute to the reoccurrence of the injury or symptoms. A strategy of treatment emphasizing recovery with rest rather than functional improvement can also contribute to de-conditioning, loss of fitness, and may lead to anxiety, depression, and decreased motivation.
Our rehabilitation team works with
referring physicians to customize a patient’s program providing regular reports and updates.
Most patient treatments can be
successfully completed in a few weeks by
encouraging patient independence and
reinforcing long-term behaviors to maintain a healthy spine, minimizing future needs for medical or therapeutic intervention.
